„საქართველო და თანამედროვე გამოწვევები“-სამეცნიერო კონფერენცია სტუდენტებისათვის

“რეგიონული განვითარების ახალგაზრდული ორგანიზაცია” აცხადებს ნაშრომების მიღებას თემაზე: „საქართველო და თანამედროვე გამოწვევები“. კონფერენციაში მონაწილეობის მიღება შეუძლიათ ქვემო ქართლის რეგიონში მცხოვრებ სხვადასხვა ფაკულტეტის სტუდენტებს(როგორც ბაკალავრიატის, აგრეთვე მაგისტრატურის). აღნიშნული კონფერენციის ფარგლებში შესაძლებელია თემის სხვადასხვა
საკითხზე მორგება და მისი რამდენიმე მიმართულებით ინტერპრეტირება. ღონისძიების ფინანსურ უზრუნველყოფას ახორციელებს ქალაქ რუსთავის ადგილობრივი თვითმმართველობა. პროექტის მხარდამჭერები არიან ქ.რუსთავის მერიის „სოციალური მომსახურების, კულტურისა და სპორტის სამსახური“ და „რუსთავის კულტურის ცენტრი“.

კონფერენციის მონაწილეებს გადაეცემათ სერტიფიკატები, ხოლო 3 საუკეთესო ნაშრომის ავტორი დაჯილდოვებული იქნება ფულადი პრიზით:
I ადგილი 150 ლარი; II ადგილი 100 ლარი ; III ადგილი 50 ლარი.

University of Lausanne Master’s Grants

To facilitate access to Master’s degrees by students with qualifications from foreign universities, the University of Lausanne, Switzerland, makes available around ten Master’s grants which are awarded on a competitive basis. Please read below to learn more about the application process for 2012.
Programmes concerned
Candidates must choose a Master’s programme from among those offered by the UNIL, except the Master of Medicine, Master of Arts in Public Management and Policy, Master of Arts in Sciences and Practices of Education. The grant may not be used for any complementary studies required to enroll on the Master’s degree and may not be used for EMBAs or Masters of Advanced studies.
Amount and duration of the grant
The amount of the grant is CHF 1,600.- per month from 15 September to 15 July, for a duration not exceeding the regulation minimum period of the programme (according to the programme, one-and-a-half years or two years subject to deduction for paid placements or exempt semesters, if any). Abandonment of the programme results in suspension of the grant.
Required conditions
The candidate must be the holder of a degree from a foreign university.
The qualification held by the candidate must be deemed equivalent to the UNIL Bachelor’s degree.
Selection procedure
Candidates complete the “UNIL Master’s Grant” form and submit their application to the Office for socio-cultural affairs (SASC, Unicentre, University of Lausanne, CH-1015 Lausanne, info.sasc@unil.ch) by 15 December 2011 at the latest. The application is examined by the University Rectorate to determine whether the candidate is admissible. In the event of a positive decision, the application is forwarded by the SASC to the UNIL Faculty responsible for the Master’s on which the candidate wishes to be enrolled. The Faculty selects applications and notifies the SASC of its opinion based on the candidate’s qualities, motivation and suitability for the Master’s programme. The SASC forwards shortlisted applications to the selection committee which will award grants to students meeting all criteria according to the available budget.
Decisions are not open to appeal.
Selection criteria
The grants are intended more particularly for students who distinguished themselves in their university studies and who have difficulty meeting their financial needs for the duration of the Master’s. It is however necessary that the candidates have sufficient financial means to support themselves during the complementary studies that may be required prior to enroll on the Master’s degree.

ტრენერთა და მონაწილეთა შერჩევა

“რეგიონული განვითარების ახალგაზრდული ორგანიზაცია” იწყებს მონაწილეთა და ტრენერთა შერჩევას პროექტისათვის “დაგეგმე შენი მომავალი სწორად”, რომლის უმთავრეს მიზანს წარმოადგენს დამამთავრებელი კლასის მოსწავლეთა მაქსიმალური ინფორმირებულობა მომავალი პროფესიების ზუსტად და სწორად განსაზღვრისათვის, რათა მათ შეძლონ სწორი პროფესიული არჩევანის გაკეთება და პროექტის
ფარგლებში მიღებული კვალიფიციური ცოდნის საფუძველზე საკუთარი კარიერის დაგეგმვა.

აღნიშნული ღონისძიების ფარგლებში ტრენერის პოზიციაზე განაცხადის შემოტანა შეუძლია 21-30 წლის ახალგაზრდას საქართველოს ნებისმიერი ქალაქიდან, რომელსაც შერჩეულ სფეროში (ჩამონათვალი იხილეთ საინფორმაციო ბუკლეტში) გააჩნია კვალიფიციური ცოდნა და შესაბამისი გამოცდილება. ტრენერთათვის განაცხადების მიღების ბოლო ვადაა 15 ოტქომბერი, 23:00.

ტრენინგში მონაწილეობისათვის განაცხადის გამოგზავნა შეუძლიათ მხოლოდ ქალაქ რუსთავის სკოლების დამამთავრებელი კლასის (XII) მოსწავლეებს. მონაწილეებისათვის განაცხადების მიღების ბოლო ვადაა 10 ოქტომბერი, 23:00.

პროექტში მონაწილეობა არის სრულიად უფასო! ღონისძიების განმავლობაში მონაწილეები და ტრენერები უზრუნველყოფილნი იქნებიან აუცილებელი სასემინარო მასალებითა და ყავის შესვენებით, ხოლო მისი დასრულების შემდგომ ყველა მონაწილეს გადაეცემა სერთიფიკატები, ხოლო საუკეთესონი დაჯილდოვებული იქნებიან წიგნების მაღაზიის ვაუჩერებით და სპონსორების მიერ დაწესებული პრიზებით.
ტრენერებს აგრეთვე აუნაზღაურდებათ ტრანსპორტირების ხარჯები.

პროექტი გაიმართება 28 – 30 ოქტომბერს ქალაქ რუსთავის №4 საჯარო სკოლაში. დეტალური ინფორმაციისათვის იხილეთ საინფორმაციო ბუკლეტი.

Young European of the Year

The Schwarzkopf-foundation is looking for young people from Europe between the ages of 18 and 26, (i.e. in 2012 the prize winner should not be older than 26) who are imaginative and active in an honorary capacity engaged for the European understanding and integration.

Young people prepared to grasp the opportunities of our time in forging peaceful coexistence in a Europe of diversity. Each year with this prize the Schwarzkopf Foundation rewards a young European for his/her outstanding commitment to fostering international understanding and the union of Europe.

At the same time we want to encourage and motivate these young people to continue to champion these ideals. The sum donated for the prize is € 5.000. This amount is intended to finance a six-month internship with a Member of the European Parliament or another European institution. It is also possible to use the sum to finance a project which promotes European integration. Such a project must further the aims of the Schwarzkopf Foundation and receive the agreement of the Foundation’s Management board in order to be accepted.

Europeanization: Do We Still Miss the Big Picture?

The Centre d’Etude de la Vie Politique (CEVIPOL) of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences and the Institute for European Studies (IEE) of the Université libre de Bruxelles are organizing an international conference “Europeanization : Do we still miss the big picture?” on March 29 and 30, 2012 in Brussels.

Description of the Conference
The concept of Europeanization can be considered as a tremendous success in the field European Studies of the last 20 years. Already early on the number of approaches to analyze how and “when Europe hits home” has multiplied. While this variety certainly is a strength, it runs a methodological risk: no common definition of Europeanization has been found and more precisely the danger of conceptual stretching occurs. Meanwhile, the first generations of definitions have been abandoned due to their conceptual proximity to concepts European integration, but more comprehensive definitions imply again the complexity of processes of Europeanization and mutual impacts of Europeanization and European Integration.

This development points at a complex facet of europeanization research: do we want to limit ourselves to use Europeanization as the explanans for change? Is it not also necessary to explain Europeanization itself, i.e. treating it as the explanandum? Instead of assuming that we find a linear process in either direction, shouldn’t we take into account that processes of construction, diffusion and institutionalization do not necessarily follow a stringent or coherent pattern? Furthermore it is questionable that these processes will have the same impact on the ‘classical’ 3 P’s of Political science: policies, politics and polities.

We still seem not to know a lot about the black box of the national and subnational level, i.e. how actors deal with the EU’s direct and indirect impact every day and the relationship of Europeanization and European Integration.

Do we still miss the big picture of Europeanization? Is such a picture desirable? Or does it become much more of a mosaic given its plethora of analytical approaches? Hence a discussion on research methods and case selection is needed as the emphasis on complexity runs the risk of losing the analytical capacity to determine causality in Europeanization.

This conference will try to develop answers to these questions by dealing with the above mentioned complex processes of Europeanization:
o Do we still miss the “big picture” of Europeanization?
o How can we improve theory in Europeanization studies?
o What methodology for opening the black box?
o How do complex processes of Europeanization relate to European integration?

The conference structure will follow this threefold focus of attention with three panels:
(a) Improving theory
(b) Europeanization and European Integration
(c) Case Studies on Europeanization.
